Interviews With Cats: Henry Noodle, Ruler of "Underthebedistan"
Today's "Interviews With Cats" features true royalty: Henry Noodle! According to his Instagram profile, not only is he the Prime Minister of "Underthebedistan," but he is also the King of Armpit Cuddles. Read on to learn more about this hilarious and handsome Russian Blue kitty.
Q: Tell us about yourself! Name, nickname, age, city, siblings, etc.
A: I am Henry Noodle Botasky, the Prime Minister of Underthebedistan. I have several nicknames and they are constantly morphing into other names. Some include: Noodz, Derpy Con Queso, Noodle Loaf, Bunny Butt, Hens, da Bunny, The Guy, Derpistan, Loafy… I might be around 10 years old but I’m not really telling. I live in San Francisco with The Lady and Diego (they are humans). I rule it all.
Q: Is there a special story behind your name?
A: Yes, The Lady rescued me from the streets of Oakland. As a feral, I hated everyone so I hid under the bed for 4 months before The Lady forced me out by serving me lamb. The iron duvet then came down. I still have an office in Underthebedistan and I seem to have lots of work to do when people come over.

Q: What’s the most exciting thing that’s ever happened to you?
A: When the Lady came home from CatCon and decided that everyone needed to celebrate ME! - So we had HenryCon, like CatCon but for Henry people. There were great seminars on cooking lamb, making Noodle Nooks, crafting for cats, meet and greets with me and my squad, contest, swag… you name it. It was all at HenryCon.
Q: Tell us about your best day ever:
A: The day I climbed inside The Lady’s sweater and learned how magically warm it is. And when I got the Noodle Nook.

Q: What’s your favorite treat?
A: Broiled rack of lamb, herb roasted leg of lamb, roast spring lamb, sautéed lamb chops… and served with a tunatini or two.

Q: Tell us about a time you got in trouble with your meowmy:
A: I never get in trouble. I am perfect.
Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: My success came early. I became a Prime Minister in the first few years of my life… not sure where one goes after that. I have no plans to retire.
I DO however have plans of copious napping.
Q: What’s your favorite toy and why?
A: My favorite toy is my window bird feeder. We call it the Noodle Café. We don’t take reservations; it’s first come first serve. Seriously, it is the hottest brunch spot in San Francisco. I am super attentive to the guests, though I have had a few dine and dash guests.
Q: Do you have any special talents you’d like to share?
A: I am the fastest trapper in town! When The Lady sits down in the morning I am right there on her lap! She’s trapped and cannot go to work! I remind her of our household motto: "Less work, more cat." Eventually I let her go and she’s late and covered with sparkly grey goodness.
Q: What do you do that annoys your parents?
A: I sleep on The Lady’s head and push her off the pillow, other than that, I am perfect.
Q: What’s your favorite color?
A: Pink. Real men wear it and I look great in it!

A: I have a squad. It includes Anatole, my dedicated Chief of Staff; Jose; Mr. Frowny Toast; Chewbacca; and the Taco.
