Review: Koop Brand Catnip and Salmon Treats

Review: Koop Brand Catnip and Salmon Treats

The folks over at Koop Brand were kind enough to send us some catnip and some other goodies for Thomas to try out. And - spoiler alert - he loves it! No, I mean, REALLY loves it.

Founded in 2016, Koop Brand is fairly new to the market. Their responsibly sourced ingredients and all-natural approach appealed to us so we decided to give them a try.

Disclosure: we received free goodies from Koop Brand in exchange for an honest review on the blog.

We (well, Thomas) sampled the Katmint™ Silver Vine Catnip Blend and the Katmint™ Valerian Root Blend, as well as the Salmon Treats

Thomas is kind of picky when it comes to catnip. He doesn't have a strong reaction to the standard catnip blend so we were curious to see how he would react to the stronger Silver Vine blend which, according to their website, can only be found in the mountainous regions of Eastern Asia. The active ingredients allow kitties who do not normally react to catnip to feel the same happy euphoria as those who react to regular catnip.

As you can see, Thomas certainly had fun with it. We call this "A Catnip High In Stages":

Oh and the Salmon Treats were also a big hit!

He gets borderline violent when he sees them come out of the treat cupboard! Here he is trying to figure out how-in-the-hell to open the container that he has knocked to the floor:

And one other cool thing Koop has rolled out is their "Buy One / Feed One" Charitable Initiative.

Starting in April 2017, for every website order they receive, they will be donating one meal to a no-kill shelter (the shelters will rotate monthly).

Check out Koop Brand and let us know what you think of their products!
