Boy do we have a treat for you today! Interviews With Cats is back with Tim, aka "Tim the Bravest" who you may know from Instagram - he frequently posts videos of himself doing yoga. In these crazy times, who couldn't benefit from a little zen? Oh yeah, and lest we forget - black cats rule! Read on for all things Tim!

Q: Tell us about yourself! Name, nickname, age, city, siblings, etc.

A: Hello everyone and thank you for having me here on That Cat Blog! My name is Tim, aka Timka, Timofey, Timosha, Timokha, Timbo, and many other nicknames my mom likes to call me. My mom came from the place called Russia (wherever that is) and for some reason they have many ways to say just one name. I could never understand that, but I’ve learned to respond well to all of them. I live in New York with my mom and dad. I don’t have any siblings, though one time I overheard my parents talking about me having a sister. Apparently when I was a baby, on the day of my adoption, there was my sister sitting with me in the cage, but I was much too young to remember any of that. I am five and a half years old. My birthday is sometime in October, but December 16th is when I was born the second time. It is the day when my mom and dad opened their hearts and their home for me.

Q: Is there a special story behind your name?

A: Apparently my parents shuffled through many names while waiting for the paperwork to be finalized in adoption agency, and Tim just felt right! I like it, parents like it, Tim it is!

Me & my momma, and my paperwork showing that I’m a legal beagle! Er, cat…

Q: What’s the most exciting thing that’s ever happened to you?

A: Oh boy! Actually it happened recently. My mom doesn’t like to share this story with people, but personally I think it was fascinating. One evening I was hanging out with my mom on the balcony and something caught my attention. It was that smell. I’ve never had anything like it going through my odor receptors. It was quite intoxicating and made my heart pump faster. I had no idea what it was so I followed my nose to the edge of the balcony and under the rug. There it was, looking at me, sniffing me out, mocking me. It looked very similar to the toys that I have inside the house, but it moved on its own, and that smell…! Yup, it was the mouse. I absolutely had to have it for my collection of mice. Without hesitation, without thinking twice about it, I made the catch. And of course, the only reasonable thing to do was to bring it home. Luckily the door from the balcony to inside the house was open. At last it was mine! It was MY trophy! My mom started panicking, and her scream startled me for a second and I dropped it. It ran across the living room and disappeared in the bathroom. I spend several hours looking for it and sniffing it out, but wasn’t able to lock my eyes on it again. Then, in the middle of the night I heard scratchy sounds behind the dresser in the bedroom. “It’s back!” But of course my mom woke up as well when she heard me pacing around the dresser and making my hunting sounds. Then my mom went to the kitchen and came back with a plastic cup. “My mom is the best, she’s going to help me get my trophy back”, or so I thought. With me on one side of the dresser and mom on the other we had the mouse surrounded. It ran straight to the plastic cup. “Please mom, can I have it back?” But to my disappointment she went outside and let it out. The mouse never came back again. Perhaps I wasn’t a very good play companion.

Q: Tell us about your best day ever:

A: My best day ever is any day when both of my parents are home. When all of us are relaxing on the balcony, or sitting in the armchair watching TV. I also like to help them around the house, I watch over things making sure everything is done properly. Well, almost everything, I hate it when they pull out a vacuum cleaner.

Q: What’s your favorite treat?

A: To be honest I’m not very big on treats, just never really had a taste for them. I like regular cat food, wet and dry. No treats can replace a good meal anyway.

Q: Tell us about a time you got in trouble with your meowmy (or cat dad):

A: I really don’t get in trouble. I don’t like to upset them so I’ve learned the house rules pretty quickly and I follow them. But for the most part they let me do what I want anyway, so I really have no reason to be bad.

Well…. I’m a good boy MOST of the time….

Q: What’s your favorite holiday and why?

A: I like Christmas. All those gift boxes for me to open and sit in. All that wrapping paper for me to roll around in. All those food smells, even though I don’t eat human food I still like to sniff around the kitchen. I also like Valentine’s Day because my mom gets flowers and I like chewing on them.

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?

A: I’d like to be the world famous cat-yoga instructor. So all the beautiful cats around the world can learn to do what I do and enjoy life to the fullest everyday.

Q: What’s your favorite toy and why?

A: I have the whole basket of toys so I pick one depending on my current mood. But recently my toy of choice is catnip banana.

You show me a cat who doesn’t like a catnip banana and I’ll show you a ….. LIAR!!!!!

Q: Do you have any special talents you’d like to share?

A: I do yoga. Follow me on Instagram for my educational yoga videos, and try to catch up.

Q: What do you do that annoys your parents?

A: Apparently my mom doesn’t believe in waking up at 6 am. For some reason she waits until that annoying buzzing sound to open her eyes. I like to wake her up. As for my dad I don’t bother him when he’s sleeping, he might not take it very well (I’ve learned that at a very early age).

Q: What’s your favorite color?

A: I like all colors. But mostly shiny, bright, colorful things I can throw around the house.

Q: Do you have a best friend(s)? If so, who?

A: I have two best friends. First is Killian. He lived at my dad’s work place until he was adopted by a very nice lady, and from time to time I receive his recent pictures and latest news. My instagram followers know Killian very well. Second friend’s name is Kuzya. We were recently introduced and became friends. He’s a very young lad so it took some time for us to get used to each other and get along. And, of course, all my Instagram friends. I love you guys, you are the best!

Q: Do you have a favorite pastime?

A: My favorite pastime is sunbathing and doing yoga. If you visit my Instagram page you will see all my moves captured on video. I also like taking naps throughout the day, but as I understand it’s every cat’s favorite thing.

Q: Anything else you’d like to share?

A: Please adopt, save a life. Adopted pets are the most appreciative and loving companions. Be safe everybody. Thank You!
