We are back with Interviews With Cats: Holiday Edition! Our pawsome subjects are Izzy and Zoe (aka, "The Fluff") - and it just so happens that their favorite holiday is Christmas. These natural charmers live in the Netherlands and enjoy bird watching, cat milk, and acrobatics - read on for more heart melting cuteness!

Q: Tell us about yourself! Name, nickname, age, city, siblings, etc.

A: We are Izzy (white nose) and Zoë (black nose), siblings and inseparable since birth. We were born on July 12th, 2015 and we were the only tuxedo kitties in our litter. We live in the Netherlands with our meowmy and pawpa, who also call Zoë: "The Fluff" or "Queen of Hearts," while they also call Izzy: "Izzles" or "Princess Izzelina."

Q: Is there a special story behind your name?

A: Our pawents only had one name in mind since they were planning on adopting one kitten. We’re not supposed to know this, but they originally picked only Izzy. However, Zoë charmed them with her big heart (literally) and we acted extra cute together so they couldn’t bear to separate us. When we got home, we remained nameless for a few days as the humans attempted to come up with a new cute name duo. In the meantime, they referred to Zoë as ‘the fluffy one’ due to her longer fur. This is where the nickname The Fluff comes from. They played with the idea of just calling her Fluffy, but meowmy wanted a proper name and not an adjective. They settled on the name Zoë fairly quickly, just because it fit her personality, but it took a few more days to decide on Izzy. She is named after one of meowmy’s early kitties, who is now in kitty heaven.

Q: What’s the most exciting thing that’s ever happened to you?

A: Probably that time when our photos went viral across the globe. This was in the summer of 2016. It started with articles on Hello Giggles and The Dodo and then spread throughout the whole world with articles popping up in countries ranging from Latvia to Brazil to Japan (where Zoë was also on TV several times). We even made The Daily Mail. We also heard our meowmy blabbing about us on the radio and once a reporter and a photographer came to our house to see us and take our photo. That time we had to share the spotlight with meowmy, but that’s okay. We know everyone was looking at us anyway, since we are cats.

See? We CAN share the spotlight, we just don’t LIKE to

Q: Tell us about your best day ever:

A: The day we discovered the attic. We had just learned how to walk the stairs and when we found out there was a second staircase, we discovered a gigantic paradise with lots of mess to climb up and under. Now the humans have cleaned it up and turned it into our playground. It has all the toys, comfy sleeping spots and lots of running space.

HERE’S JOHNNY!

Q: What’s your favorite treat?

Both: We are not unanimous on this one! Although, we do both really like any type of chicken, especially Cosma snackies in chicken flavour.

Izzy: Salmon, particularly the type that pawpa makes for himself.

Zoë: I don’t like any type of seafood, but I absolutely love catmilk.

Hold up! Did someone say ‘catmilk’?!?

Q: Tell us about a time you got in trouble with your meowmy (or cat dad):

A: We are indoor cats, but when the weather is good we do get to play in the yard. We don’t like the leash, so our pawents enclosed the yard and keep an eye on us when we are out. One time, while meowmy quickly ran inside to get a drink, we hid under some big plants and she couldn’t find us anymore when she came back. Our hiding place was perfect and meowmy nearly got a heart attack when she thought we might have left the yard. After about what felt to her like an hour (but was probably more like 10 minutes) we decided to put her out of her misery and show ourselves. She was very happy to see us, but she won’t let us out of her sight when we are outside ever since.

Q: What’s your favorite holiday and why?

A: Our favorite holiday is Christmas, because somehow a lot of boxes get delivered around this time and we sure love boxes. Also, the humans put up a lot more shiny toys for us to play with.

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Zoë: Besides being Queen of Hearts, I have always wanted to be a Care Bear. I am trying to get into Care Bear kittygarten, but I haven’t heard back from them yet. In the meantime, I am hanging out with my mentor Tenderheart Bear a lot. One day I will hopefully be an honorary Care Bear.

Fitting, no?

Izzy: I would like to be an acrobat. I’m very muscular and I like to catch things at the highest point, preferably while doing a backflip in the process.

OK now you’re just showing off…..

Q: What’s your favorite toy and why?

A: THE BIRDMOUSE. Is it a bird? Is it a mouse? Who knows. We can chase it on the floor AND jump at it. We can tug at it as hard as possible, and it never breaks.

Q: Do you have any special talents you’d like to share?

Zoë: Although I am royalty, I can also be a court jester. I like to crack up the humans by doing totally random wall-jumps, galloping around the house while jumping over Izzy, and bitch-slapping plants (they have it coming).

Izzy: Besides my excellent jumping skills mentioned earlier, I am also very good at having an irresistible face. Try and say no to it. I dare you.

Q: What do you do that annoys your parents?

Zoë: I must eat any type of plastic, always. So they have to hide this from me all the time. They probably find that pretty annoying.

Izzy: I like food. A lot. Even though I know I am not allowed to, I always try to sneak up on the places where the humans keep their own food.

Q: What’s your favorite color?

A: Our favorite color is red. It looks nice with our black & white fur.

Red is our color. Don’t you agree? We ARE royalty in this house, so it’s totally fitting.

Q: Do you have a best friend? If so, who?

A: Yes. Each other. We are best friends forever!

Q: Do you have a favorite pastime?

Zoë: Watching birds is my favorite pastime.

Izzy’s not so much into it…

Izzy: I really like cuddling with my pawents.

Q: Anything else you’d like to share?

A: When people were asking about our personalities, meowmy wrote this about us on our Instagram: Izzy is the fearless one on the frontier and Zoë is the laid-back diva. Izzy is very adventurous and always the first to explore anything. She is afraid of nothing and is very muscular. Izzy is also extremely cuddly and literally sleeps on top of meowmy every day. Zoë's curiosity knows no bounds, but she is more cautious towards new people and things. She thinks she is the Queen of the house when we are alone, though. Zoë is always hogging toys and when wrestling, Zoë usually wins by playing dirty (for which Izzy is too sweet). Both are very playful, but Zoë is a total clown. She's a bit crazy, which cracks up the humans. She randomly side-jumps against walls and furniture and bitchslaps plants for no reason. Zoë purrs a lot (very loudly) and is also very affectionate towards the humans, but less in-your-face than Izzy. We have different personalities, but have one big thing in common: love for each other. We are truly inseparable since birth.
