Daily Dose O' Weird: Japanese Ad Featuring Crazy Dancing Cat-People
If ads in the US were even a little like this one, I think I'd spend a lot more time watching TV. But this will have to do - this Japanese ad for the 40th anniversary of a delivery company (?!) features a cute black cat and dancers wearing large cat heads, as well as a bunch of other weird stuff.
Just take a look for yourself:
So much weird:
Apparently the song, "Neko Funjatta" translates to, "I stepped on a cat," and is known in German as, "The Flea Waltz."
In the full song, the lyrics translate to:
I stepped on a cat, I stepped on a cat I stepped on a cat and it scratched me It scratched me, it scratched me Cat was shocked and it scratched me
What a bad cat, cut your claws Get off the roof and shave your whiskers Cat is meowing, meowing, pretending nothing happened Meowing with sweet sound
I'm sorry cat, I'm sorry cat I'm sorry I shocked you, I'm sorry Come here cat, come here cat I will give you a piece of dried bonito so come here cat
I stepped on a cat, I stepped on a cat I stepped on a cat and it flew away Cat flew away, cat flew away Cat flew away to the sky
Having an umbrella in the blue sky Floating above clouds Cat is meowing, meowing Cat is meowing, meowing far away
Cat flew away, cat flew away Cat flew away and I can't see it anymore Bye bye cat, bye bye cat Come back tomorrow morning, cat
