Artist Spotlight: Walter Chandoha, Cat Photographer Extraordinaire
Walter Chandoha has been taking pictures of cats professionally for over 70 years. His photos have graced the pages of National Geographic, Country Living, Good Housekeeping, Better Homes & Gardens, The New York Times, Architectural Digest, and many more, as well as having writing and/or illustration credits on 26 books featuring animals. You've likely seen his work featured on everything from calendars to jigsaw puzzles to coffee mugs. Check out this video from New York Times Magazine. Aperture, a non-profit aimed toward connecting audiences with quality photography, recently published a collection of his work in a book called, "Walter Chandoha: The Cat Photographer." The book features 53 full color photos and interviews with the legend himself. You can purchase the book through the Aperture website and check out Walter's photo gallery on his own website.
